Welcome
Fall 2026 Program Admission
The aircraft maintenance program at Mt. SAC is in very high demand and requires prospective
students to attend an in-person orientation and pass a mathematics exam prior to being
accepted as a new aircraft maintenance student.
In preparation for the Fall 2026 semester, the mandatory orientation sessions were held in April 2026 and the application process for fall 2026 is now closed. The department is no longer accepting any new applications for fall 2026 or spring 2027 (all waitlists are also full). The next potential application period will open in April 2027 in preparation for students requesting to start the program in fall 2027. Please check back at this location in February 2027 for orientations dates, times and locations.
The Aircraft Maintenance Technology program is one of the oldest technology programs
currently in operation at Mt. San Antonio College. Mt. SAC is certified by the Federal
Aviation Administration to train new technicians to enter the industry as a general
aviation technician, a corporate aircraft technician, or as a commercial aircraft
technician.
There are two programs to choose from: a day program that can be completed in two years or, for working individuals, an evening program that can also be completed in two years. Our faculty and staff consist of professionals experienced in general aviation, rotor craft (helicopters), commercial aviation, and corporate aircraft maintenance.
Students train with state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring the best possible chance for success in the workplace. In fact, our graduates’ FAA certification test score results are consistently higher than the national average, and in a recent survey 100% of the responding graduates were employed in the field.
