Mt. SAC Classified Senate

A Mt. SAC Classified Professional who does one, or more of the following:

• Is known as a person who leads by organizing and bringing out the best in others. Is looked to for advice.
• Is professional and steady even during difficult work, or committee situations. Helps keep others calm and smoothly guides others to see the goals and bigger picture.
• Advocates and supports new, or innovative ideas and is key in organizing others to see the benefits, and assist in process.
• Known as a positive influencer and foundation for moving ideas forward. Is a booster and mentor to others.

A Mt. SAC Classified Professional who does one, or more of the following:

• Shows genuine concern and acts upon it. They give willingly of their time to help others, either on campus, or in the community.
• Is devoted to making things better, and puts muscle and energy into making it happen. Is first to go the extra mile and start action.
• Cheerfully lifts people up. Promotes a positive image of the college, students, and staff, through community service and volunteerism.
• Gives their time and physical energy to help the less fortunate, and those in need.

Examples include, but are not limited to: setting in place actions that better serve students, volunteering at a homeless shelter, a pet rescue, a food pantry, or a hospital on a regular, and frequent basis.

A Mt. SAC Classified Professional who does one, or more of the following:

• Produced results such as increased productivity, efficiencies, or streamlined methods that have been successfully implemented.
• Has recommended innovations to processes in departments, or on campus that have improved operations.
• Has physically created an item(s) that is inspired and has brought positive notice, or response from the campus, and/or community.

A Mt. SAC Classified Professional who does one, or more of the following:

• Exemplifies the spirit and dedication to “work ethic.”
• Has “hit the ground running”by learning their job and excelling most expectations.
• Has quickly become a cheerful, and admired asset to their department, or, students. Has quickly become involved in the Mt. SAC Mission.

A Mt. SAC Classified Professional who does one, or more of the following:

• Consistently demonstrates the “buck-stops-here”attitude in solving student’s problems and questions.
• Has created a bond of trust and reliability with students. Is known as helpful and informed.
• Cheerfully shares their expert knowledge of policies, procedures, and services with students. Always happy to assist students through processes to enhance experiences and empower students.
