Photography Program

Whether pursuing photography as a hobby, a career, or to transfer to a four-year university, students will find Mt. San Antonio College's Photography Program faculty, staff, and facilities will provide them with a technical and creative understanding that will prepare them for a successful pursuit of personal and professional interests in photography.

Areas of Focus
Photoshoot with multiple assistants and one subject matter
Traditional & Commercial Photography
Become employable in traditional and commercial photography. You will learn skills such as image capture, image manipulation and editing, film processing and printing, lighting techniques, production practices, portfolio building, and more.

Specialize as a drone camera imaging operator for multiple career applications in commercial photography, cinematography, construction, surveying, inspection, and public safety.

Social Media & Content Creation
Become a Social Media Content Creator for companies, advertising agencies, and social media marketing groups. You will learn skills such as photography, image manipulation, writing, graphic design and social media marketing.

Issue Room
The Photo Issue Room is the central hub of the Photography Program. Where students and faculty check out gear, schedule photoshoots, purchase consumables, and get general information relating to the Photography Program.

Photo Studio
The Photo Studio is equipped with all lighting and grip equipment you'll need for your coursework. Lab Techs and student assistants are available to support you and your instructor in your projects and photoshoots.

Darkroom labs
Two darkrooms support beginning and advanced students working with traditional black and white film processes. From loading camera all the way to window matting your final print, the Photo Darkrooms have all the supplies and equipment needed to work with traditional and historical processes.
