Jason Shiff
Jason Shiff knew by the time he was 12 that radio was his calling. He earned his degree in Radio-TV-Film with an emphasis in Media Management from Cal State Northridge...but says his real "schooling" came at KEARTH 101 in Los Angeles...where he started as in intern in the Promotions department and was fortunate enough to be noticed by the station's program director.
“...he was hired by KEARTH 101 as a producer for such legends as the Real Don Steele and Robert W. Morgan.”Following his internship, he was hired by KEARTH 101 as a producer for such legends as the Real Don Steele and Robert W. Morgan. Jason went on to become the Director of Music Programming for one of the worldwide leaders in commercial music distribution...where he became an expert on Selector programming software and worked with some of the biggest companies in the world including McDonalds, Disney, Foot Locker and Applebees, Jason also served as the Music Director and Assistant Program Director at The Wave 94.7 in Los Angeles.
Currently, Jason is in charge of Programming for Mixhits Radio, a company dedicated to supplying music and content to many of the world's biggest companies. He is also a Programming consultant to several other commercial music providers. But it’s his work at Mt. Sac that he considers to be the most rewarding..."To be able to share my knowledge of the radio industry, work hands-on with students at our award winning campus radio stations and be a part of a team of instructors in our department that has had so much professional success is truly a career highlight."
