The VESL Career Paths Program is a one-semester program designed to prepare Level 5 and 6 students who are looking to get a college degree, advance within their current profession, enter the workforce, or get a better job.  The program consists of 4 classes: VESL Speaking, VESL Writing, Career & Life Planning, and Office Management Skills.

English for Special Uses (ESU):
Healthcare Pathways

Levels 1 - 6, VESL
The ESU Healthcare Pathways courses are designed for ESL students who are interested in taking health career courses in the future to improve their English skills. The courses focus on introducing ESL students to the three health career fields: Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This is a 15 week course.

Covers vocabulary and theory, basic accounting concepts, principles, transactions and operations, and problem solving techniques. QuickBooks is an accounting software program used to manage either business or personal finances. This is an ESL course meant to prepare students to take credit or noncredit accounting classes.

Excel for Business

Covers vocabulary, theory, basic payroll and tax accounting concepts, principles, transactions, and operations.  Excel for Business: Learn how to process sales taxes, refunds, discounts, and credits using Excel.  This is an ESL course meant to prepare students to take credit or noncredit accounting classes.
