Student Sustainability Awards Contest

The Mt. SAC Student Sustainability Awards Contest is intended to encourage Mt. SAC students to engage in the study or exploration of topics related to sustainability leading to the development of solutions to environmental and/or interrelated social issues confronting Mt. San Antonio College and/or the larger society.
There are five $500 awards offered to winners. Individuals, groups, and student clubs may enter.
- The Arts/Media Category may include (but it is not limited to) the subjects of fine arts, music, audio arts, theater, media arts, written arts, (fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry, essays, etc.), spoken word, graphic arts, dance, book arts, film, craft arts, etc.
- The Business/Design Category includes (but is not limited to) accounting, management, law, real estate, marketing, hospitality, restaurants, fashion design, fashion merchandising, architecture, etc.
- The Humanities/Social Sciences Category may include (but is not limited to) the subjects of art history, education, languages, sociology, psychology, anthropology, history, political science, philosophy, geography, athletics, health sciences, public safety, child development, etc.
- The Science/Technology Category may include (but is not limited to) the subjects of agricultural sciences, biology, chemistry, earth sciences, environmental science, astronomy, computer science, physics, engineering, aeronautics, electronics, welding, etc.
- The Student Leadership Category may include (but is not limited to) the subjects of on-campus activism, community-based activism, event coordinating, awareness-raising campaigns, etc.
The contest is open to all students.
