Building for the Future

In November 2024, voters approved Measure V, providing the college with $750 million to further Mt. SAC’s academic mission of high quality, affordable education that helps local students transfer to universities or join the workforce. This new funding complements Measure GO, passed by voters in 2018. We are grateful to our community for this investment in our region's future.

This site provides accurate and updated information on construction projects funded by Measure GO and Measure V.

Current Projects

      • Project Overview

The Library Learning Resource Center (LLRC) Project will deliver a new, future-ready library facility to replace the existing building, originally constructed in 1963. Designed as a central and connected campus destination, the LLRC will support the evolving academic, technological, and collaborative needs of Mt. San Antonio College students.

The approximately 100,873-square-foot facility will provide flexible, student-centered spaces that support a wide range of learning styles and instructional approaches. Key features will include library collections and stacks, staff offices, audiovisual and media spaces, group and individual study rooms, dedicated indoor and outdoor reading areas, and integrated learning and academic support centers.

The LLRC is designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and academic success while preserving the Library’s core identity as a place of scholarship and discovery. The new facility will serve as a welcoming and inclusive environment that reflects the College’s commitment to student achievement and lifelong learning. The LLRC will stand as a lasting investment in student success and a cornerstone of the campus learning environment for generations to come.

      • Project Overview

The system will produce up to 6.75 megawatts of electricity and includes a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to store energy for use during peak demand or outages. The BESS will be located near the College’s existing electrical house on the north side of Temple Avenue in Parking Lot D.

Site plans include Parking Lot B, Parking Lot F, and the Maintenance and Operations area behind Building 47 on the south side of campus.  Canopy mounted solar structures are proposed for each location.

Mt. SAC’s solar initiative will generate clean electricity on campus, reduce long-term energy costs, and provide greater reliability through integrated battery storage and microgrid technology.

The project will provide much needed additional administrative offices for the Instruction team and will directly connect to the second floor of the Student Center and “Miracle Mile” pathway by way of an elevated pedestrian bridge. The building will also be home to a Welcome Center, which will serve as a one-stop hub for new, continuing, and returning students seeking support.

The new Technology and Health facility will consolidate programs from six locations, including modular space, the Health Careers building, and the existing Technology buildings. The new four-level structure will be located on the site of the existing pool and supporting athletics facilities, just south of the Business and Computer Technology Complex. The 253,866-gross-square-foot facility will primarily include specialized laboratory space, but will also provide general classrooms, offices, study rooms, and academic support space.
