Board of Appeals Committee
Purpose & Function
The Board of Appeals Committee provides students with an established process to appeal residency classification determinations and Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeal denials when a student believes a decision was made in error or that relevant information warrants further consideration.
The Board of Appeals Committee may:

Review of residency classification appeals in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, Board Policies, and Administrative Procedures.

Review Financial Aid SAP appeal denials in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations, Board Policies, and Administrative Procedures governing student financial aid eligibility.
The Committee shall consider the facts, circumstances, and supporting documentation
presented in each case and render recommendations or decisions in accordance with
applicable federal and state laws, regulations, Board Policies, and Administrative
Procedures. The Committee shall not waive, modify, or supersede any established requirements.
