Governing Documents

Associated Students (A.S.) conducts business and operations using
the following governing documents. 

    • A.S. Constitution

      "This Constitution... serves to promote and protect the diverse needs of the student population, enhance the awareness of student concerns through open communication with administration, faculty and staff, foster opportunities for leadership and involvement in the campus community,and execute all obligations, both fiscal and judiciary in an objective and ethical manner."

      "The Activities Committee exists for the purpose to planimplement, and revise Associated Students Activities
      and 
      promote involvement of students on campus."

      "The purpose of the Elections Directive is to establish rules and regulations
      for conducting Associated Students (A.S.) Elections
      ."

      "The purpose of the Sustainability Council is to recommend funding of student-led research on environmental
      and/or sustainable student projects at Mt. San Antonio College."

      "The purpose of the Financial Directive is to govern all money matters of the Associated Students (A.S.) of Mt. San Antonio College
      including
       the deliberation process to finance A.S. programs, activities, services and approved sponsored events."

    • Inter-Club Council (ICC) Constitution

      "This Constitution will promote the following: A better understanding of the duties and responsibilities of those serving in leadership
      positions; student involvement in total campus life; communication among the administration, faculty, staff,
      Associated Students (A.S
      .), Recognized Student Clubs & Organizations (RSCO), and all segments of the College community."

      "The Judicial Directive shall govern the official responsibilities, duties, rules, and procedures of Student Court."

      and President’s Cabinet (PC) in areas not provided for in the Constitution."

      "The purpose of the Associated Students (A.S.) Publicity Directive is to outline the rules and regulations for the development
      and posting of campus information for A.S. and Recognized Student Clubs and Organizations (RSCOs)."
