Phi Theta Kappa International Honors Society

Phi Theta Kappa is the international honors society of two-year colleges. With nearly 1,300 chapters all over the world, it is one of the largest and most active honors societies. Members may access $37 million in scholarships, enjoy free enrollment in PTK Connect, a transfer, college and career planning tool, the Five Star Competitive Edge, a personal and professional development plan for building marketable skills and an online portfolio, the opportunity to be published in Phi Theta Kappa's anthology, Nota Bene, opportunities to develop research and leadership skills, increased pay grade for entry level federal jobs, and personalized letters of recommendation for scholarships and employment.

3.4 cumulative GPA
Completion of 12 transferable units

How to Apply

At the beginning of each Fall and Spring semester, around the 3rd or 4th week of the term, the PTK Advisor will send a personalized invitation to all Mt. SAC students who meet the membership requirements. The email will come directly from Phi Theta Kappa (PTK.org) and will include a personalized link to complete your membership registration, pay the one-time $85 membership fee, and create your PTK member portal.

If you do not receive an invitation during the Fall or Spring semester, believe you meet the membership requirements, and are interested in joining PTK, please complete the PTK Interest Form below. If you are determined to be eligible for membership, you will receive a personalized invitation link directly from Phi Theta Kappa.

Your personalized invitation link will allow you to complete your membership registration and submit the one-time $85 membership fee.

Please note: Submitting the PTK Interest Form does not automatically enroll you as a PTK member. Membership is not finalized until you complete the registration process using your personalized invitation link and pay the required membership fee.
