Technology Loan Program
The College offers free technology loans (laptops and hotspots) to all Mt. SAC students enrolled in at least one credit or non-credit course while supplies are available. Currently enrolled students can submit an online technology loan request. Once approved, they will be contacted by email with a link to select a pick-up time at the library. The campus is committed to ensuring students have equitable access to their education by providing a comprehensive technology support program, inclusive of laptops, hotspots, educational software, and technical support.

Available Technology
Students, enrolled in at least one course, are eligible to borrow a laptop and a hotspot for as long as they continue to enroll in consecutive terms. All laptops have access to free Microsoft programs. Additional software is available upon request. Specify your course needs when selecting a pick-up time to ensure you receive a laptop with the software needed. IT provides technical support for all loaned laptops and hotspots.

Technology Pickup
After submitting an online Technology Loan Request Form, upon approval, eligible students
will receive an email:
- Follow the link in the email to select a pick-up time
- Visit the Library Checkout Desk at the north entrance of the library during your appointment time
- Bring a physical copy of either your Mt. SAC student ID or another government-issued photo ID to check out technology
IT staff are on site during appointment times to help set up technology equipment and answer technology related questions.
Technology Returns
Technology is due back at the end of every term except for eligible students who remain enrolled through the next term. Returns are welcome anytime the library is open. No appointment is necessary. A registration hold will be placed for overdue laptops and hotspots. Students with lost, stolen, or damaged equipment may lose their eligibility to borrow equipment.
