Eligibility Requirements for Future Promise+ Students

Be a first-time college student that has never attended any college

*Dual enrollment, special admit, and non-credit students are eligible

Be a California resident or AB540 eligible

Submit a 2026-2027 Financial Aid Application (FAFSA or CA Dream Act)

*Students are not required to qualify for financial aid

Declare a Major

*Undecided majors and certificates under 16 units are not eligible

Participate in a Summer Bridge Program OR Enroll in COUN 1 course also known as STEP Into College Program and earn a minimum of 2.0 GPA

Apply for Promise Plus on Mt. SAC Student Portal - Application Opens June 22 and closes July 30, 2026.

Register and Pay for Fall classes by August 7, 2026 deadline

Check your Mt. SAC email for an invitation to attend the mandatory Promise Plus 2- Hour Orientation - EMAIL INVITE ONLY
