Asynchronous Feedback

- What is Asynchronous Feedback?
At the WC, we realize that having time to schedule a live tutoring session can be difficult when you need feedback and support on your essay. If finding time for a live appointment is a challenge, you can submit your essay to receive asynchronous feedback from one of our writing specialists.
This service is meant to support Mt. SAC students in developing their writing skills. When you use this option, you will get feedback that helps you identify common writing errors, strengthen the organization of your ideas, and learn strategies to improve your own writing. Async. Feedback is most effective for complete or nearly complete drafts.
- Where do I submit my work for feedback?
Here are the steps for submitting your work to our writing specilalists:
- Click on our submission form (linked below)
- Answer a few brief questions
- Upload the required prompt/assignment instructions
- Tell us a few areas of focus. It helps to ask us questions, such as:
- Is my thesis clear and answering the prompt?
- Am I citing my sources correctly?
- Am I developing my argument with enough evidence and analysis?
- I struggle with commas; could you take a look at those for me?
- Your feedback will be returned to you via email usually on the same day; although, it may take up to 72 hours (3 business days) in times of high traffic. Please plan accordingly.
- Please note that the writing specialist will spend 30 minutes reviewing your work and giving you feedback on your document.
- Please submit your assignments as Microsoft Word documents.
