American Sign Language Interpreter Requests


Drop-in Virtual ASL Interpreting

Drop-in virtual ASL interpreting for employees may be available on a first-come, first-served basis and based on interpreter availability. Click the button below to see if a virtual interpreter is available to assist you right now. Drop-in virtual ASL interpreters are not guaranteed. Reserve an ASL Interpreter

Mt. SAC employees may initiate American Sign Language Interpreter accommodation requests by completing the form below.  In order to process your request in a timely manner we ask that all requests for in-person interpreters be made at least seven business days in advance and for virtual interpreters at least five business days in advance.  Interpreters may not be secured for requests made with less than seven business days notice.  We will make every effort to fill a request and provide an update on the status of your request three business days before your event. 

Mt. SAC employs ASL interpreters and contracts with third party agencies to fulfill requests.  Events that are scheduled longer than one hour typically required two interpreters.  Please provide as much detail as possible in the request form below.  If you are unsure of the number of interpreters to request contact Human Resources at HRAccommodations@mtsac.edu.       

Please note that ASL interpreters are not automatically assigned to all events on campus.  If you would like to reserve ASL interpreters please complete the form below.

*Cancellations or changes with less than three business days notice will be charged to the requesting department and/or division.  The amount charged is based on agency fees for last minute cancellations.

  • Step 1 - Submit your online request below and receive a Submission Identification Number. 

  • Step 2 - Receive a confirmation email from HR Accommodations with your assigned Interpreters.

  • Step 3 - Receive a friendly reminder from HR Accommodations three business days before your event! 

Cancellations with less than three business days notice will be charged to the requesting department and/or division.
