Apply to the Mt. SAC Jazz Festival
Directors can use this page to submit applications for their big bands and combos. Each ensemble needs its own application so we can place groups in the correct division and schedule performance and clinic times.
How the application works
- Complete the online application form for each ensemble.
- After you submit, you will receive a confirmation email with a copy of your responses.
- Payment is best made via check on the day of the festival. If you wish to make a payment another way, please contact Dr. Simonsen at wsimonsen@mtsac.edu.
- The schedule will be posted on March 30th, 2026.
All applications are stored securely and can be downloaded as a spreadsheet for your records.
Entry fees and deadlines
Entry fee: $200 per ensemble (big band or combo).
Application deadline: Friday, March 27, 2026.
Payment can be made by school or district check, purchase order, or through the Mt. SAC online payment system. Details are included in the confirmation email.
Festival divisions
On the application form, you will select a division for each ensemble. Use these guidelines when you choose levels. If you are unsure, you can describe your group in the comments section, and we will help you place the ensemble.

Please complete one form per ensemble.
