Woodwind Ensemble

  • The Woodwind Ensemble is a specialized chamber music ensemble for woodwind players, including flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, and saxophone. Designed to develop musicianship, ensemble skills, and artistic independence, students are placed into small groups of approximately 5–10 performers and explore a wide variety of musical styles and genres through chamber music performance.

The Woodwind Ensemble is directed by Professor Karin Fabiero (Flute). Students enroll in MUS 56: Woodwind Ensemble, which meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:55 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters. The ensemble is open to both music majors and non-majors and may be taken concurrently with other performing ensembles, including the Wind Ensemble.

For more information about the Woodwind Ensemble, email Professor Fabiero at kfabiero@mtsac.edu
